Stored XSS via LogView column settings
Published Oct 6, 2021 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
Stored XSS in Fortinet FortiAnalyzer 6.4.3 and earlier, 6.2.7 and earlier, and 6.0.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts. The GUI stores insufficiently neutralized column-setting input in LogView, but Fortinet has not identified the affected field or parsing operation. Exploitation requires an authenticated account and a LogView column-settings POST request obtained through another attack; the published impact is limited to unauthorized content modification.
