Unauthorized file access via crafted web paths
Published Jul 12, 2021 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
Path traversal in Fortinet FortiMail Webmail before 6.4.4 allows remote authenticated users to read unauthorized files via crafted web requests. Fortinet identifies multiple traversal flaws in Webmail but has not published the affected handlers or how request paths evade directory restrictions. A regular Webmail account is required, and successful requests expose files and data outside that account's authorized scope.
