Cross-tab information disclosure via premature tab blur
Published Feb 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Firefox before 85 allows remote attackers to capture another tab's contents through an active screen share. The Site Permissions tab-closing path blurs the active tab before screen sharing ends, letting capture continue briefly against the next tab. Exploitation requires a user to grant window or screen capture and then close the sharing tab during the timing-dependent condition.
