Script execution via unsanitized contact search results
Published Jan 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in OX App Suite 7.10.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in a user's browser via a contact name. The mobile-mode contact-search renderer appends attacker-controlled contact names to the DOM without sanitizing their content. Exploitation requires a victim to import or receive the malicious contact and search for it in mobile mode, enabling session theft or unwanted actions.
