Session compromise via unsanitized mail task links
Published Jan 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in task notes in OX App Suite 7.10.4 and earlier allows attackers to execute script code in another user's session. The frontend mail URL handler copies unsanitized link content into a task's notes section and inserts the note into the DOM. Exploitation requires the target to import or receive a shared malicious task and interact with its note, enabling session data theft or actions as that user.
