Cross-site scripting via manifests query string
Published Jan 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OX App Suite through 7.10.3 allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim browser through the ajax/apps/manifests query string. The endpoint reflects attacker-controlled query data into generated application-manifest content without adequate HTML or script-context escaping, enabling cross-site scripting when a victim follows a crafted URL. Exploitation requires network access and victim interaction; impact is limited to the victim browser's confidentiality and integrity context, with no reported server availability effect.
