CVE-2021-23889Network attack vector

Administrator XSS via unsanitized parameters

Published Mar 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-Site Scripting in McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator before 5.10 CU 10 allows ePO administrators to inject script or HTML through network requests. Multiple administrator-controlled parameters are rendered without correct sanitization, allowing supplied web script or HTML to execute in the ePO interface. Exploitation requires an authenticated ePO administrator and interaction with affected pages, with confidentiality and integrity impact to the administrative session but no service interruption reported.
