CVE-2021-23859Network attack vector

Service crash and command access via crafted request

Published Dec 8, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Improper exceptional-condition handling in multiple Bosch security products allows remote attackers to crash a service with a crafted HTTP request. Bosch has not disclosed the affected service, request field, or exceptional condition that is mishandled. Ports 40080–40099 expose the interface; standalone VRM or BVMS with VRM permits unauthenticated commands briefly after the crash, while some products expose only a local interface.
