CVE-2021-23843

Configuration tampering via device password bypass

Published Jan 19, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Authentication bypass in Bosch AMC2 configuration tools allows remote attackers on the local network to alter controller settings. AccessIPConfig.exe and AmcIpConfig.exe accept configuration changes after attackers circumvent device password protection instead of enforcing authentication for critical writes. Reachability requires access to the AMC2 subnet; exploitation can change access-control configuration or make the controller unresponsive.
