Local media disclosure via uncleared cleartext caches

Cleartext storage in Keybase Desktop Client before 5.6.0 on Windows and macOS and before 5.6.1 on Linux allows local users to read cached media. The client leaves unencrypted images in the Cache and uploadtemps directories after ordinary deletion or the Explode action instead of removing them. Access requires local filesystem privileges and exposes only media retained in those directories, including images from private conversations.
