Object prototype modification via unsanitized query keys
Published Feb 16, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Prototype pollution in Appwrite and Litespeed.js allows remote attackers to alter object prototypes through crafted query strings. The getJsonFromUrl parser writes attacker-controlled query-string keys into a normal result object without rejecting proto, so bracketed properties reach Object.prototype. No authentication or user interaction is required; polluted inherited properties can change server or browser logic that trusts them.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
