Arbitrary command execution via unsanitized scroll argument
Published Apr 18, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Command injection in Anthony Naddeo onion-oled-js 0.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through scroll(). The scroll() method concatenates its direction argument into a shell command passed to child_process.exec without validation or shell escaping. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled input to reach scroll(), after which commands run with the privileges of the process using the library.
