CVE-2021-23344Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary code execution via crafted property path

Published Mar 4, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Code injection in the Total.js set utility before 3.4.8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted property path. The utility concatenates the supplied path into JavaScript source passed to the Function constructor, allowing injected statements to run during assignment. Exploitation requires an application path that supplies attacker-controlled data to set, after which code runs with the application's privileges.
