Path traversal in Pimcore before 6.8.8 allows remote authenticated users to read local files through the custom report CSV download endpoint. The downloadCsvAction method accepts the exportFile parameter and passes it into a file response without sanitizing path components, allowing traversal outside the intended temporary directory. Access requires an authenticated user with report permission, and the demonstrated impact is file confidentiality with limited integrity exposure rather than service interruption.
