CVE-2021-23277

Unauthenticated command execution via unsafe dynamic evaluation

Published Apr 13, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Eval injection in Eaton Intelligent Power Manager before 1.69 allows remote attackers to execute commands via an adjacent network. The loadUserFile function in scripts/libs/utils.js passes user-controlled code syntax to a dynamic evaluation call without neutralizing directives. No credentials or user interaction are required, but reachability is limited to an adjacent network and command execution affects the IPM host.
