Reduced TOTP key strength via short secrets

Insufficient secret length in Joomla! Project Joomla! CMS 3.2.0 through 3.9.24 allows remote attackers to search a reduced TOTP key space. The core TOTP setup code generates 10-byte secrets rather than the 20-byte length recommended by RFC 4226. Exposure requires 2FA to be enabled and a target secret generated by an affected release; Joomla states that the 80-bit space remains impractical to attack.
