CVE-2021-23046Network attack vector

Sensitive-data exposure via secure-property logging

Published Sep 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Sensitive-data exposure in F5 Networks BIG-IP Guided Configuration before 8.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read secrets from logs. When Access Guided Configuration creates and deploys a configuration containing secure properties, it writes those property values into restnoded logs. The issue requires high-privileged access and the affected deployment workflow; exposure is limited to secure values recorded in those logs.
