Authenticated SQL injection through Configuration utility page
Published Sep 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in F5 Networks BIG-IP AFM allows remote authenticated users to submit SQL through the Configuration utility. An undisclosed page fails to neutralize untrusted request data before a database operation, but F5 has not disclosed the page, parameter, or resulting changes. Exposure requires provisioned AFM; affected releases are 12.1.x, 13.1.x before 13.1.4.1, 14.1.x before 14.1.4.2, 15.1.x before 15.1.3, and 16.0.x before 16.0.1.2.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=16.0.x before 16.0.1.2, 15.1.x before 15.1.3, 14.1.x before 14.1.4.2, 13.1.x before 13.1.4.1, and all versions of 12.1.x
