Service interruption via undisclosed WebSocket requests
Published Sep 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Denial of service in F5 BIG-IP Advanced WAF and BIG-IP ASM allows remote attackers to terminate the bd process via crafted requests. With a WebSocket profile applied to a virtual server, bd improperly handles undisclosed request content and terminates; F5 has not published the malformed field or parsing operation. The configured profile exposes the network-reachable condition, and exploitation interrupts application-security processing without reported data disclosure or code execution.
