Information disclosure via unlocked LsiLogicSCSI object
Published Apr 22, 2021 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Information disclosure in Oracle VM VirtualBox Core before 6.1.20 allows local users with high guest privileges to read sensitive data. The LsiLogicSCSI virtual-device implementation fails to lock an object across a check-and-use sequence, creating a race that exposes sensitive information. Exploitation requires high-privileged code execution in a guest, and the disclosed data can support a chain that executes code in the hypervisor.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
