Unauthenticated control of assigned cameras
Published Aug 31, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper authentication in Ubiquiti UniFi Protect 1.18.1 and earlier allows remote attackers on the network to control assigned cameras. The vendor identifies improper authentication but has not published the affected request, endpoint, or validation failure that accepts untrusted network input. An unauthenticated actor must first reach the Protect deployment's network; successful exploitation grants control of assigned surveillance cameras.
