CVE-2021-22823Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated file deletion via opcode 60

Published Feb 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Missing authentication in Schneider Electric IGSS Data Collector 15.0.0.21320 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary host files. The dc.exe handler for opcode 60 accepts a caller-supplied deletion path without authenticating the request or validating the target file. The attacker must know the active IGSS project directory, and deletion occurs with the filesystem rights of the account running dc.exe.
