Script execution via unneutralized displayed file
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Schneider Electric NMC2 and NMC3 firmware allows remote attackers to execute script when a malicious file is displayed. The firmware reads and renders a malicious file without neutralizing script-capable content; Schneider Electric has not identified the file parser or display routine. Execution requires the file to be read and displayed, and the script runs in the viewing browser's security context.
