Code execution via GD1 loader use-after-free
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Schneider Electric GUIcon 2.0 Build 683.003 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a malicious GD1 file. The GD1 configuration-file loader accesses memory after it has been freed, but Schneider Electric has not disclosed the affected function or object. Exploitation requires a user to open the attacker-supplied file in GUIcon and runs code in that user's process context.
