CVE-2021-22802Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked heap copy

Published Feb 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Heap-based buffer overflow in Distributed Data Systems IGSS Data Collector 15.0.0.21243 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code. The dc.exe process copies user-supplied TCP message data into a heap buffer without first validating its length. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs code in the context of the account running IGSS.
