CVE-2021-22801

SYSTEM code execution via unsafe CXN event actions

Published Feb 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Arbitrary code execution in all Schneider Electric ConneXium Network Manager versions allows attackers to run commands via malicious CXN files. CXN processing loads configured event actions without warning, allowing their executables to run in the SYSTEM context. Execution requires a user to open an untrusted project file, and Edit Mode is enabled by default unless Run mode protection is activated.
