Path traversal in Schneider Electric Control Expert, Process Expert, and RemoteConnect allows attackers to execute code from a malicious project file. The STU and STA project-file parser uses an unvalidated user-supplied path in file operations, permitting a script to be written outside the intended directory. Execution occurs in the current user's context only after an engineering-workstation user opens the crafted file.
