Controller denial of service via crafted project
Published Sep 2, 2021 · Updated May 29, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in Schneider Electric Modicon controllers allows attackers to cause denial of service via a crafted project file. The controller or simulator dereferences a null pointer while processing the project during an application update. Attackers able to deliver a project file to the update path can interrupt controller or simulator operation; no data disclosure or integrity impact is reported.
