Denial of service in the Optimizer component of Oracle MySQL Server 8.0.23 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hang or crash the server. Oracle has not published the affected optimizer routine or the operation on crafted input that causes the failure. Exploitation requires a high-privileged database account with network access, and the documented consequence is a server hang or repeatable crash.
