Code execution via uninitialized CGF pointer
Published Jun 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Uninitialized-pointer access in IGSS Definition 15.0.0.21140 and earlier allows attackers to execute code through a malicious CGF import. The Def.exe CGF importer fails to validate user-supplied file data before accessing an uninitialized pointer. Exploitation requires a user to import the crafted file and can execute code in the application context or cause data loss.
