CVE-2021-22755

Code execution via unchecked CGF memory write

Published Jun 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Out-of-bounds write in Schneider Electric IGSS Definition 15.0.0.21140 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a malicious CGF file. Def.exe imports user-supplied CGF data without adequate sanity checks before performing memory writes, allowing a write beyond the destination buffer. The target user must import the crafted file; successful exploitation can disclose process memory or execute code in that user's context.
