Remote code execution via unchecked WSP parsing
Published Jun 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Distributed Data Systems IGSS Definition V15.0.0.21140 and prior allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via malicious WSP files. The Definition module parses attacker-supplied workspace data without validating sizes, writing past an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file, and code runs in the current process context.
