Code execution via unchecked CGF import
Published Jun 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Schneider Electric IGSS Definition 15.0.0.21140 and earlier allows local users to execute code via a malicious CGF file. The Definition module processes attacker-controlled CGF content without adequate input validation and writes beyond an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user to import the file; successful exploitation grants code execution in that user's context or discloses information.
