Code execution via unchecked CGF field lengths
Published Jun 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Distributed Data Systems IGSS Definition 15.0.0.21041 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a malicious CGF file. Def.exe imports attacker-controlled CGF content without checking field lengths before writing it to memory. A local user must import the crafted file, and successful memory corruption can destroy project data or run code in that user's context.
