CVE-2021-22741

Credential disclosure via weakly protected database hashes

Published May 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Weak password hashing in EcoStruxure Geo SCADA Expert allows local users with server database files to recover account credentials. The server database stores account password hashes with insufficient computational cost, enabling offline password-decryption attacks after file access. High-privilege local access is required to obtain the database; configuration export files do not contain user account password hashes.
