CVE-2021-22713Network attack vector

Unauthenticated meter reboot via memory-buffer bounds violation

Published Mar 11, 2021 · Updated May 29, 2026

Memory-buffer bounds flaw in Schneider Electric PowerLogic ION power meters allows remote attackers to reboot a meter over a network. Schneider Electric identifies improper restriction of operations within a memory buffer but has not disclosed the affected code path or malformed input that triggers the bounds violation. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation interrupts metering availability by forcing the device to reboot.
