Remote crash via allocation-size integer wraparound
Published Aug 31, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Integer wraparound in Samsung TizenRT before 3.0.GBB allows remote attackers to crash the operating system through crafted allocations. The functions_calloc and mm_zalloc paths fail to reject allocation-size arithmetic that wraps before memory is assigned. No authentication or user interaction is required; the documented consequence is a crash, not data disclosure or modification.
