Code execution via malformed DPB file parsing
Published May 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Delta Electronics CNCSoft ScreenEditor before 1.01.30 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted DPB file. The DPB parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing beyond the end of an allocated object. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open the file, after which code runs in the current process and can corrupt data or crash the application.
