CVE-2021-22661Network attack vector

Unauthenticated password change via missing prior-password check

Published Feb 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Authentication weakness in ProSoft Technology ICX35-HWC 1.9.62 and earlier allows remote attackers to change the user password. The local web UI accepts a replacement password without checking the current password, allowing an external process to overwrite the credential. No prior password or user interaction is required, and the resulting credential change permits unauthorized device-configuration changes.
