Unauthenticated code execution via writable export path
Published Feb 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authentication in Advantech iView before 5.7.03.6112 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through its web interface. The application accepts unauthenticated changes to EXPORTPATH, then lets an export function write attacker-controlled JSP content into the webroot. Remote attackers who can reach the iView HTTP service can invoke the written page and run OS commands as the service account, typically SYSTEM.
