CVE-2021-22650Network attack vector

Code execution via unrestricted TPG file extraction

Published Jul 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 17, 2025

Relative path traversal in Ovarro TWinSoft 12.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a malicious TPG project file. TPG extraction honors referenced file locations instead of confining every extracted file to the selected output directory. Exploitation requires an attacker to replace the project stored on a TBox and an engineer to download it, after which code runs on the TWinSoft host.
