Authentication bypass via undisclosed race condition
Published Aug 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
A race condition in Huawei EMUI 11.0.0 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication through an undisclosed smartphone interface. Huawei's bulletin does not identify the affected component, shared resource, synchronization error, or request sequence that wins the race. No credentials or user interaction are required, but exploitation has high complexity and bypasses only the affected authentication control.
