CVE-2021-22364

Device denial of service via parameter validation exceptions

Published May 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Denial of service in Huawei Mate 30 firmware 10.1.0.126 and Mate 30 (5G) firmware 10.1.0.152 allows attackers to interrupt service via crafted parameters. A smartphone module insufficiently verifies certain parameters, allowing malformed values to trigger exceptions that leave the device unavailable. Exploitation requires the attacker to possess the smartphone; the bounded consequence is device denial of service without reported data disclosure or modification.
