Service interruption via insufficient packet validation
Published May 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Huawei CloudEngine switches allows remote attackers with adjacent-network access to interrupt services using crafted packets. The affected packet-processing logic insufficiently validates message data before writing outside the intended buffer bounds. Exploitation requires access to the affected switch from an adjacent network, and published evidence limits the consequence to abnormal service operation.
