Service disruption through configuration-table modification
Published Jun 30, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Credentials-management error in Huawei EMUI 10.1.1, 11.0.0, and 11.0.1 and Magic UI 3.1.1 and 4.0.0 allows attackers to disrupt service. Huawei states that exploitation modifies configuration-table items after permission is granted, but it has not disclosed the responsible component or erroneous operation. Attackers must induce users to grant modification permission; the resulting changes cause system exceptions, with no further consequence documented.
