Module crash via message-triggered use-after-free
Published Feb 6, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Huawei Taurus-AL00A 10.0.0.1(C00E1R1P1) allows attackers to crash an affected module via a crafted message. The unnamed message-handling module accesses memory after freeing it while processing the crafted message; Huawei has not disclosed the module, message format, or code path. Exploitation requires delivery of the malicious message to the affected module and causes a module crash that interrupts normal service; no broader device compromise is established.
