Improper exceptional-condition handling in ABB SPIET800 and PNI800 A_B and earlier allows remote attackers to cause persistent service interruption. The communication stack mishandles an incomplete, out-of-order packet sequence and stops answering all Ethernet requests. Network access to the control system is sufficient, and the failure persists until the affected module is manually rebooted.
