Stored XSS via unsanitized Datadog site URL
Published Nov 4, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in GitLab CE/EE's Datadog integration allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in a maintainer's browser. The integration builds api_keys_url by interpolating the user-controlled datadog_site value into link HTML without sanitization before rendering it. An attacker must save the crafted project integration setting and induce a maintainer or owner to open its edit page, where the script runs with that victim's session authority.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
