CVE-2021-22233Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Private-project metadata disclosure via unchecked WebIDE lookup

Published Jul 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in GitLab EE 13.10, 13.12, and 14.0 releases allows remote authenticated users to read private-project details via WebIDE. IdeController resolves the supplied project path with Project.find_by_full_path without checking access, and IdeHelper serializes the resulting project entity into the page. Any authenticated user who knows or guesses a private project's full path can retrieve its metadata, but the published evidence does not show repository-content access.
