CVE-2021-22219Network attack vector

Sensitive-data disclosure via incomplete log masking

Published Jun 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in affected GitLab CE/EE releases allows remote authenticated users with high privileges to read sensitive log data. The logging configuration does not register certain sensitive values with the log-masking system, leaving those values unredacted in log files. Exploitation requires high-privilege access to the affected instance and exposes only data present in accessible logs; the specific values and logging code are undisclosed.
